Been searching w/no luck - 96 accord stall with AC on

And the rest of the tune up items are up to date?
With the AC on, what is the idle rpm? With the AC off what is the idle rpm?

Did you clean IACV inlet screen and valve movement? The valve movement can become clogged and sticky.
What happens when you disconnect IACV? Idle should decline to about 550 +/- 50 rpms.
good luck

From your description, idle speed is normal when idling, but when coming to a stop w/ AC on, the engine stalls due to AC compressor load.
What happens when not driving and AC load comes on? Does ECU compensate, or does idle rpm depress low also?
good luck

Have you set up your base idle? The "base idle" is 550 RPM with the IACV unplugged, SCS connector shorted, and no loads on the engine. Then when you plug the IACV back in, the idle-control system will bring the operating idle up to the 700rpm that everyone expects.
If that is set incorrectly, then the ECU will bring the operating idle back to 700 but the IACV will not be in it's proper "sweet spot" for responsive control of idle. Then it's not able to do a real good job preventing stalls when you drop to idle with the load of the AC compressor.
