I'm all American then, cause I like the fact that my OEM pads never make a sound. They stop the car just fine for me, so I see no need to experiment with other brands.

Why is it that you think you need better stopping power than the factory brake pads; are you racing your car in weekend club events?
I don't race, but I sometimes enjoy pushing my car to high speeds and I want good brake pads for that matter. But again, that is not really a must. If superior stopping power is going to wear out my rotors faster then I rather go with brake pads that are less powerful.

I see you also own a 2003 Honda Accord Ex. Could you tell me what OEM pads models are you using?

Just the regular pads that came with the car from the factory. I order most of my maintenance items from online Honda dealerships. The prices are much cheaper than the local dealership, and I will usually order enough items (filters, fluids, wiper inserts, etc.) to last a couple years, so the shipping costs are minimal per part.

Do you have the "upgrade" pads/hardware? There was a TSB or Recall on the rear pads wearing out quickly on these.

Going on memory - that is code for don't trust me, research - there is an upgrade on the hardware to help keep the pads off the rotor when you are not braking....and something about being sure the slide pins were installed in the proper place...there is a difference from top to bottom and some were switched at the factory.
