Default black box behind the bumper cover

when i changed my headlights yesterdy there was a black plastic box look that its for the stock airintake. but i put in a air intake should i take the box out to get more air.

Well, if you have an aftermarket intake now, I would just take it out. I believe your referring to the baffle box. It was originally there just to quiet down the stock intake. I view it as extra weight that doesn't need to be there, but it doesn't hurt anything just sitting there.

I've also heard it could work as a mild reinforcement if you ever hit something with your front bumper. Don't know how true that is.

As far as more air flow, if the air filter for your intake is right above it, you will get some more air flow but, you most likely won't be able to tell the difference either way unless you have some major mods.

i took it off and much faster and the intake tube is now cold to the touch
