Default Blower Motor Resistor

FYI - my 93 accord cabin fan blower was only working on the highest setting. After reading some post on this site, sounded like the resistor might be bad. I pulled the blower out and found the resistor. Never seen one before, but i noticed there was a tab of metal that looked like it should wrap around and attach to another post. I also noticed there was a solder spot on this tab. So i plugged the blower back into the car tucked the tab under the post where it looked like it was soldered and tried all the fans speeds....and they all worked Soldered it back into place and saved myself from having to run out and buy another resistor.

Trying to give back something to this forum, I find it very helpful!!

Cool, thanks for that information. Did you happen to take a picture of it?

What I was thinking is if he took a picture of the tab & the soldering job, we could put it into DIY.

Darn did not think of a picture, and its all tucked back away now. And the resistor looked nothing like the picture above. I have to chase down a short one of these days, if I tear back into it, i will take a snapshot.

Don't worry about it. Generally, if we see a thread that reads like a nice set of instructions, we can move it into the DIY section.
