On a '92 DX, we have an intermittent problem. After turning the ignition on, the blower and radio stop, and there's a grinding noise when the shift lever is taken out of park. Restarting seems to clear the problems. There were no trouble codes. Fuse 25 is OK. Recently the alternator and stereo were replaced.

Any help will be appreciated.

you might have 2 different problems.. when you turn the key on and blower stops try wiggling the key a bit see if blower comes back on again

was the problem there before replacing the stereo ?? if not , possible loose connection ?
does the grinding noise from the tranny only happens when you take it out of park ? does it happen when you take it out of reverse into park or neutral ?
