Brake Fluid Reservour
ok, a few things need to be cleared up.
the abs reservour was never empty, it never has. also the abs light has come on many times in the past, partucularly along with the brake light when i have omitted to put brake fluid in the master cylinder. But i'm going to check when i start the car to see if the light comes on at that moment. thank you for your help i very much appreciate it.

Um... YES, I misunderstood about that.
The brake fluid in the ABS reservoir should be refreshed along with the main brake fluid every couple years. There's a procedure to bleed the ABS & the main fluid. That flushes air bubbles out of the system & puts fresh fluid throughout.
If you wanna do that stuff yourself, you can search for brake-bleeding or post back to clarify stuff. Accords ABS system (& bleeding procedure) changed substantially in the 96-98 time-frame, so keep that in mind when you browse around for the procedures.
