brake pedal slipping
when i hit the peal the car stops normall but then starts to inch forward and i have to further press the pedal to the floor.....if i let off pedal and then brake again there is stiffness but pedal eases to the floor is this a sign of a leak or something of the sort.......new to the honda game lost in the sauce on dis one

Has any work been done on the car recently?
Check that the brake fluid level is not low.
It could either be air in the brake lines, a failing master cylinder, or a rubber brake hose that is weak and expanding.
You could bleed the lines to rule out air in the system. Inspect the rubber brake hose. If that doesn't fix the problem, then you will need to replace the master cylinder. In the main DIY section, deserthonda wrote up a DIY on that.

Instead of trying to interpret your description, how about I describe it...
-----------------------
Air in the hydraulic lines:
Brake pedal feels soft, mushy, & sinks way low when you first step on the pedal.
Pump the brake pedal and it gets solid; only to be soft again next time.
--------------------
Bad master cylinder:
Brake feels normal when you stop.
When you sit with low-pressure on the brake pedal (like a red light) the pedal sinks slowly & smoothly to the floor.
You can lift your foot & it goes back to the top, but sinks slowly again.

You have either a leak or a bad master cylinder.

I guess, first thing I would do is as Jim Blake said.. try pumping the brake.. and if that gives you a solid feel and if you are able to use the brake normally for next 1 min(depends on amount of air in there) or so and then again you let loose, repeat it.. You can try to bleed the system and see if that helps..
But if it floors even after pumping.. you got some problem there.. and it could be one of the above things that the experts have suggested..
Please post back on what you find out.. it may help others..
