So I recently had my brakes replaced at some shop with Nissin brand brake pads and my dad completely raged at me for not geting Honda OEM pads at the dealership. The mechanic there told me it's pretty much as close to OEM. According to my dad, the OEM brakes would last me over 30,000 miles while the Nissin will only last me 25,000.

Can someone please help me out here and tell me if theres really any big difference between Honda's pads and Nissin?

 

I thought Nissin made good stuff, I guess. I think they're one of the companies that make brake stuff for Honda (like calipers).

Besides, life of the brake pads has more to do with your right foot.
