Default Broken Timing Belt

AHHHH timing belt snapped on freeway, valves bent, indentations on pistons, #2 exhaust alot further out then others, they were probably bent prior to me getting car free. Always ran rough, and 0 compression day before timing belt took a dump,
SORRY I KNOW I EARLIER WAS ADVISED TO DO COMPRESSION TEST, CAR GOT BURGLARIZED, GOT MY NEW COMPRESSION TESTER, AND SOME..
Exhaust valve on #2 has chunks broken off, prior to belt breaking. No pieces on pistons,
Hmmm rock auto time.
think head is worth putting new valves in or could it be damaged by looks.
Thanks Mario

Check the cylinder walls for signs of scoring/damage. Check the top of the engine block is flat with a straightedge.

I don't know how much damage the cylinder head sustained. You have to closely inspect where the valves seat for signs of damage.

Your options really depend on your budget, how long you can have your car out of service, your tools and ability to work on the cylinder head. You may want to price a rebuilt and maybe a u-pull-it yard cylinder head to get an idea on cost. What are you able to spend and what are you wanting to DIY on this car?

When I was in college, dad's car threw a timing belt. Similar gouge marks on the pistons, and he just cleaned up the carbon and the pistons still had marks but nothing actually cracked. All new valves, and he was lucky the valve seats were almost OK. We cleaned that up with valve-lapping compound.

He ignored all the warnings about taking out the pistons and weighing them to make sure they were all 4 exactly the same weight. It was OK for a few more years until the floor rusted out...

yes getting new valves, check all components, got the rocker arm assembly off, freaking raining today. Just call some yards if head looks too bad. Use a flat edge on block, thanks PAhonda,
hope for the best.thanks. Later might swap in a F22B with a manual, just got to get the 94 I think, over here.
still cant multi quote

Started popping springs off, did the #2 In & Ex first. AHHHHHH got to drive somewhere, catch up in a bit. Is that normal the ones sticking popped back in, or did removing rocker arm assembly, mess up the valve stem bores, na looks pretty solid.. send it off couple days, test, pressure test, and resurface, oh do the springs got to stay in order they come off? actually they'll probably tell me I need new ones, yea new valves, keepers, seals, for sure. Got to go

Valve sticking out,

Valves out

Harmonic balancer bolt a pits. 1.5 hp 3 gal air compressor 120 psi, 25ft hose, nothing. Cut about 20ft. Off hose nothing, brought my 5hp 20 gal out, 30 ft hose, nothing, few attempts, put short hose on, bolt broke free, after compressor refilled 2nd time. All the impacting, the higher torque power, shorter hose. Listen walls smooth, started racing again, order valves, seals etc. tomorrow . Then water pump and balance belt, I got a timing belt and pulleys, tensioner already.
less than 002 thousandths gap center of head, using carpenter's square, all direction.

Got valves cleaned, after pulling, they looked straight, next to, turned and compared to couple new ones I ordered, measured, rotated on straight edge, got new valve seals, lapping tool and compound, do it by hand first time, got timing belt, balance shaft belt, tensioner and pulleys, new head gasket and bolts, intake gaskets, water pump.
Need fuel injection 0-rings, torque wrench.
fall is here, quickest way to get back on road is fix this Honda. What I thought was valve to piston indents, isn't, no Mark's on valves or pistons, maybe running on 3 cylinders made me lucky, may

be.
freaking valve seals are on there. No torch, any tricks out there Thanks.

I have never seen piston damage in a Honda that the valves hit but I have seen a few where the piston oil control rings were damaged and after putting it back together had oil consumption but didn't smoke.

yea thanks buddy, I think somehow I got lucky, dont know if it was do to running on 3 cylinders, or the valves were so carbonized they stuck in position car died in, but no bent valves like t thought, bought 2 intake, 1 exhaust valve, they look identical rotating next to eachother, no gaps or bends rotating on a straight edge. No Mark's on pistons or valves.. so waiting on head gasket set,
belts, pulleys, water pump, bolts, valve stem seals, etc. Lap my valves, drilled holes in one top edge passage cap and the one on the timing belt side. Ran a wire through, didn't stop till it hit other end, So sprayed carb cleaner through side , black carbonized cleaner came out egr holes fast as I sprayed, pretty clear. Almost time to get her together .ever clean egr passages, intake off engine?
thanks again
