Default Buying my first honda accord , Advice needed

Hi I m in process of buying my first honda accord, I went to see one today, it is honda accord ex 2006 diesel, 64000 milage one owner, asking price 7500, it is a good clean car all arround but my only concern is that when i opened the engine oil cap while engine is running it sprays out oil , even i found few drops on my face, is it normal for this model, plz help, Thank u very much

Welcome to the forum! Where are you located? We don't get the diesel at all here in USA, so I hope someone from UK or EU chimes in about that.

In general, opening the oil cap isn't a very good test, because it'll spray oil anyway. Hard to tell what's an "excessive" amount of oil spray. I expect that's normal because of the high compression of a diesel.

I definitely wouldn't open the oil cap while the engine is running. As Jimblake said, it will spray oil out anyway. Get a flashlight and look in there sometime with the engine off. You'll see why it sprays. many moving parts.......

On most diesels, 64000 miles is just getting "broken in." most diesels will last upwards of 300k if they are maintained.
