Default A/C is blowing but not cooling

Hello,

I am a new member in this forum. I have a Honda Accord 2006 SE (Sedan V4) and it has 223,000 miles on it. A couple of days ago, while I was driving it suddenly stops cooling but it still blows. I thought it might be the Freon. Therefore, I bought an A/C recharger with a pressure gauge and when I measure the pressure it indicates the pressure is in the red zone on the gauge. Now, I am not sure what is wrong with it. I would appreciate any advice/suggestion.

BTW, we recently move from Virginia to Florida, not sure if this has something to do with it. I mentioned it since there is a weather difference between these two states.

Thank you,
Rafi

Welcome.

We use the "new member" area mostly for welcome & introductions, so I'll move this over to General Tech. where more people will see it. I'm not the AC guru so probably someone else will see this & answer.

High pressure when the AC is running might be the expansion valve is plugged? It's a good thing to measure both high and low pressures and don't just add refrigerant without knowing what's going on.

Thanks for your reply Jim! I have not added any refrigerant yet since it was already showing it has high pressure.

Definitely do not add freon until you do more troubleshooting.

Start the engine and turn on the a/c. Look at the a/c clutch that is outside the pulley. Is the a/c clutch spinning with the pulley or is it stationary?

Also look at the relay and swap with a like one to eliminate it being an issue
