Default A/C blowing cold on passenger side, but not driver

Honda Accord '05 Manual trans LX 4c

As the heat is getting hotter here in Savannah Ga, I've noticed my A/C not working properly. The driver side of the car is blowing warm-cool air, while the passenger side is blowing very cold air when the A/C is on. This is not the case when the heat it on, as it seems to blow just fine on both sides. I checked the fluid levels of antifreeze and everything is fine. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks!
Sara

This is usually a symptom of low refrigerant charge. The evaporator doesn't have equal temps and air is cooled unevenly.

Suggest checking system pressures and inspecting for leaks. An AC manifold set is necessary to check both high and low side system pressures.

If you haven't measured AC pressures before, either get a book to learn how or get some professional help. If you have gauges and want to learn, check video "Using AC Pressure Gauges To Fix Car AC Problems" on youtube for basic diagnostics of AC system.

good luck

Glad i looked in here before starting to tear dash apart for flap stuck open. My 05 had the same situation and after a quick charge it is working fine.
