2002 4cyl accord auto. ac/heater blower fan only works on speeds 3 & 4. A/C & heater both seem Ok. Cond fan OK. Tried all comos of Lights, ignition, brakes, Any ideas why speeds 1&2 no go but 3&4 ok?
I dont have an interrogater so dont know what codes are, where do I find this info?

 

On earlier models, this problem is caused by failed elements (one element for each speed below 4) in the blower resistor bank (usually on the blower module). You should check w/ Autozone.com for repair guide on blower electrical wiring to confirm that a blower resistor bank is used and where it is located.

Here's the blower unit (buried in the dashboard). The blower speed-control resistor is #7. I'm not sure how many panels you need to remove to get at it, but start by removing the panel below the glovebox.
