A/C high line leak, how to fix???
hey i have 2 pin hole leaks in the high side A/C line.
i fill the A/C r134 and the system works fine, blows cold air, all system components work. but after a few minutes the high side begins to leak.
i found super seal metal/rubber stop leak at benny's but its costly and wanna make sure it will work on the high line.
i did buy jb weld and states it will hold up to 3960 psi but it only held for a few minutes, did i not use enough or not correctly.
i am trying to get the a/c to work because its really hot and im also trying to sell the car...
any ideas????

They make aluminum brazing rods. I've no experience using them but plenty of videos on youtube on use of them.
You might also check junk yards for a replacement line. Should be very inexpensive.
good luck

My two cents, see if there is a place around that makes hoses. Next if the two are close to each other and in a "pretty straight" section of the metal - they do sell compression fittings for AC lines.
$50 doesn't seem that bad. Maybe it's just me, but it would be better to do a good job with the repair than to pass it off to some unsuspecting buyer. If you bust into the system (such as using compression fittings), you have to (should) evacuate the system before it's filled and make sure it's got the right amount of lubricant in it. Or, just don't bother with the repair and let the buyer fix it in whatever method he / she chooses. Then, you'll be relieved of the responsibility.
