Default A/C not blowing air, silent

Hi, I would like advice on how to troubleshoot this issue myself first if possible. I have a 2003 coupe, EX and the A/C was working fine previously in the morning. No complaints about the cold air. Now, it doesn't work - the AC display is fine, but the fan does not turn on, there's no air coming out, and no sound. When I first turn on the AC, I can hear a short, faint hiss, and then nothing. Any ideas what it could be? I tried checking the fuses, which doesn't seem to be the problem. Thank you all for your help in advance!

You can unplug the connector to the blower fan (under passenger dash, #2 in pic below). Get a volt meter, and see if you have 12V across the two pins when the blower should be turned on.

Look towards the end of this thread (linked) where I give some specific tests for the blower circuit.

(that's about non-auto climate control; what's yours got?)
