Maybe, the filters were taken out, because they clogged up with sand too fast. ???

Heck if nothing else I might even try to get some stocking material, I know that is bad but it has to slow down the sand.

EDIT: If you want I might be able to get detailed spec's on the filter and send them to you? Let me know, it might take a little time but I'd try.
thanks much poorman212, appreciate it!

Well I looked today just for my own reasons....just a rectangle? 11.575 in by 3.779 in...thickness 1.181. Google Wix filters and you can look it up pn 24752-two per box-superceeds pn 24782-one per box.

Now my question is how dangerous of not having a set of cabin air filter in this dusty country?

Something similar happened to me.. I have a 2006 that the CAbin air filter box was there but the filter was not there. I am in Brazil.. The car was with me since brand new.. It seems that honda forget some stuff when they ship cars WW.. Mine was made in Mexico..

Instructions should be in the owner's manual.

Google search term below. Its a YouTube video showing how to do this. Its very simple to do.

Open the glovebox and empty it. Unhook the spring/shock thingie from the side. You might also have to press the sides of the glovebox to unhook it. You want the glovebox to hinge all the way down so you can get at the air ducts that are hidden by it.

There's a wide slot with clips to open the cover. The filter slides out like a drawer. Replace the paper element & put it all back.

You have to remove the glovebox & look at the blower housing & air ducts. I think on the 98-02 the filter is behind a vertical opening.
