Unhappy Can I drive w/o powersteering for 3 miles?

Hi, y'all. I need some advice. I have a 2006 Honda Accord with no power steering in my garage. The auto shop is 3 miles down the road. I heard that if you drive without power steering you will damage other components as well. But it's only 3 miles. Do you think it will be ok to drive there with warning lights flashing?

Driving without power steering will not damage anything else per-se. That said, the question I have is, "Why do you have no power steering?"

Is it just the pump or hoses or rack leaking all of the fluid out, or the pump has failed, or because a belt has failed?

I've never driven either a Gen 7 Accord or my Gen 3 TL (same basic car built on the same assembly line) without power steering, but I have driven other cars which lost their steering assist for some reason; my advice is to drive it during a low traffic time period as your ability to react to a sudden unexpected event on the roads will be hampered by the heavy steering.
