When push the gas pedal hard i get a sputter in the forward momentum. My car is a 94 Honda accord lx coup. It did sit for a while. Could it be the fuel pump? Any ideas??

That is not much to go off of. Has any work been done to the car recently?

Have you inspected the maintenance items like spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor?

How long did the car sit? Have you put fresh gas in the tank?

Does the check engine light turn on? You should check for codes. See the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum for how to check for CEL codes on your car. Post any codes on here.

 

Car has new plugs, wires, oil, fuel filter, oil filter, sat for a few months.
