Default Canadian to US cluster swap

Hi,

Considering buying a 97 Accord. Ive seen a few nice ones with canadian clusters.

What would be involved swapping the cluster out with a US version? Is it possible? Any drawbacks (like cruise control problems)? Any need for ECU programming?

please advise. Thanks!

I am not positive but wouldn't the only thing different be km/h and mph? In any case they should swap no problem, the only difference is the mileage is stored in the odometer, so you would want to get one that matched or was close to what yours says.

Well, I don't know, that's why I'm asking. It's my hope that I can pull the canadian one out and have a US one (from junkyard) put in (after I correctly reset the mileage that is).

Just wondering if it's as simple as that, or if other things need to change.
