Default U.S. XM Unit in Canadian '06 Accord with Nav?

Has anyone successfully used a U.S. XM unit on a Canadian model Nav Unit? We have the AUX button without XM on it. I spoke to the OEM VP of XM and an OEMVP from Honda at last weeks CES and they did not know, but mentioned they do not like varying the software too much between vehicles.

I would love to know if you could plug this module in and get the XM functionality via the nav screen.

Anyone?

I'm bumping this thread because I have the same question. I just bought a Canadian '07 Accord EX and I would love to have the factory XM functionality too.

Has anybody tried this?

Thanks. I sent an email to the nearest US Honda dealership and hopefully they'll have an answer. If they say it will work and they are willing to do it I will take the car down there, but I was hoping to hear someone had pulled it off before.
