Default Indash nav unit for 98 accord

I've just received a JVC KW-NT3HDT and I just checked the wiring, and it all looks very doable, except for the speed sensor wire. Now I might be tempted to forgo this wire, but I don't want the warning about it not being connected every time I start it (particularly for my wife).

So I looked through the posts, and I saw one person who said you needed to run the wire through the firewall and to a harness on the transmission. Again, do-able, but I was hoping to tap into this under the dash some place.

Any idea where I'd look for it?

EDIT: A little more digging suggests the ECM unit is a likely place to tap into the VSS, however this picture:
http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?p=37721070
Says the ECM is under the passenger seat while this post:
http://board.accordtuner.com/showthr...Wire-Schematic
Says the ECM is inside the console, while this one:
http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2057602
Says its behind the carpet in the footwell. While on this forum, nobody can agree where it is:

also, for anyone else looking at this post in the future, here's a great pin-out of the ECM:
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/r...nda_Accord.php
which tells me its pin 23, need to figure out what color wire, but that looks like the ticket.

Any thoughts?
