cant put car into gear !!

Default cant put car into gear !!

idk whats wrong..i have an 98 4dr accord V6automatic and i cant get out of park. i can start the car, i pushed the down the brake pedal all the way down while it was running to put it into drive but it wouldnt move. i read the haynes manual and it said something about the locking solenoid. am i on the right track on solving this problem??

You certainly could be. When you press the brake pedal you should hear a click near the shift lever. If you don't it could mean the solenoid failed or the brake switch on the pedal, but I don't think you would have brake lights either.

I blew one of my fuse while trying to change the clock light and experienced the same issue... cant shift gear... So check your fuse box!

yea it turned out to be a blown out fuse !! im happy that was the onli thing wrong but damn .. one little fuse can really mess u up. appreciate everyones help. thank you !!
