Good timing! I honestly would have bent a U pipe (or needed bend) and spliced that in on the bad section inleu of capping that way the system can be vacced and circulates similar to normal. Hope all holds up fine!

I did it as far forward in the lines as I could so not so much is just sitting in the lines. Did research to see if the Tundra that has the same engine and such had the same AC set up that I could just borrow lines off of without having the 3rd row but no such luck it was completely different set up.

So hopefully this holds up or I'll be back to cutting and welding at the split.

Well after getting the system filled it all leaked out and is no longer cold. Back to the drawing board.

That sucks

Hope you figure out a new plan that works.

I've got my own that I'm trying to deal with, I think I'm going to throw in the towel and just get another car....the trans on the 97 is acting up, then the Saab blew a coolant hose and pretty sure the HG is done....pretty sure I'm just going to dump the two and find something else.

That sucks, I guess it could always be worse for me. This weekend I'm gonna cut off a section of line and mess around with the brazing and see how that goes.

I looked into the ac systems from the sequoia but that still has third row ac and the tundra but that has a completely different set up so I'm going to have to figure this one out.

Well the good news is it doesn't look like it was the caps that leaked, looks like it was the o ring for the condenser that gave out. The o ring had a small leak before so I replaced it the same time as the caps and it seems like it didn't take. Lots of green dye around it now and non on the caps so should be an easier fix at least.
