Default Car I’m looking to buy Shuddering on Acceleration

Sorry if this is the wrong place… I’ve been an Acura guy.

I’m looking at an absolutely beautiful 2012 Accord EXL V6 at a nice dealer. The maintenance on this is impecable. The previous owner had it at Honda every 5,000 miles since 2012. 120k miles. It looks brand new.

The problem is it is shuddering under acceleration pretty good. Smooth as glass cruising and stopping. They are a VW dealer but say they have 2 former Honda techs back there. An initial examination by them after I complained about it revealed nothing. They weren’t able to immediately figure it out. But they are bringing it in this week to go over it.

My thoughts after reading the forum or that this could be an axle. Or I fear that it’s the transmission in which case they won’t be selling it.

im tired of looking for a car in this market and would like it if this thing worked out. Any thoughts appreciated. I’m buying one regardless so I’ll be back.

Multiple items could cause the problem based on your description. What the shudder at a certain rpm range or speed range? Tires would also be on my list of items to check. Also check for engine codes.

The higher the Rpm the worse it gets. It’s at low or high speed. The whole car shakes. Tires are brand new with an alignment. Hopefully they find something.
