Default Car Jerking Around

So I've noticed this for a while now and figured it might just be normal since it's my first time driving manual transmission but I figured I'd ask just incase there's something wrong and I'm just ignoring it.

I drive in rush-hour traffic every morning/evening and often it's start/stop but the odd time I'll end up behind a semi and it's just crawling along. When I try to match the speed of this semi (usually in first).. my car will jerk randomly when my speed gets too low (usually between 5 - 10 km/h).. Is that normal or is there something I should be concerned about? If it's normal, is there any way to minimize this jerking around, I've read around and saw some comments about a grounding kit maybe helping this but I'm not sure.

Any advice would be appreicated, thanks!

maybe you're not giving it enough gas, and the engine wants to shut off?

That's what I was thinking, my RPM's go insanely low @ those speeds and it's like the engine is rev'ing itself to prevent stalling and at the same time the car is jerking. Just being safe =)

Thanks

Sounds normal.

Try to go slow enough to let the engine idle on it's own, foot completely off the gas pedal. That way it should smooth itself out. The jerkyness comes from the throttle tip-in is sorta abrupt. You need a very fine-controlled foot on the gas pedal (& practice) before you're smooth just off idle.
