there was a leak in coolant hose from heater control valve to engine, tried to replace and Oh God, broke the damn valve, found one in junk yark and replaced the heater control valve, bleed coolant. radiator all okay now.

but......

at stop or idle, radiator fan comes on every 30 seconds ( i tested it with stopwatch, lol), weather is 72 Fahrenheit, is it normal? should the radiator fan comes on this frequent?

Is there oil dripping from the bottom drain hole on the lower t-belt cover? There is a common leak on that engine which is the balancer shaft seal which has a service bulletin posted for it. If the leak is coming from under the cover it is either that, the crank seal or the cam seal. If you remove the upper cover for the cam you will be able to see both the cam and balancer shaft seals. If the are dry then it is likely the crank seal. Seldom does the seal for the balancer gear box leak, but don't rule it out.

Fan running every 30 seconds seems like too much, but the fan is also controlled by the air conditioner. Turn OFF the AC - also switch the direction of the air away from the windshield/defrost. I think in the defrost position it forces the AC to run.
