Car stalls randomly
Hi guys, I have a '90 accord 2.2 MT with at least 247k miles (speedo stopped working before I got it). It ran fine for a long time, but now it randomly stalls while driving but will usually fire back up quickly.
Stalls randomly. Can be right after start-up or after an hour of driving. Sometimes multiple times.
I can smell fuel sometimes while driving.
It sometimes backfires if it stalls while driving and still in gear (my muffler actually got split open 2 weeks ago from it backfiring).
I was sitting at work today with my car idling. It died and about 1/2 second later it seemed like a cylinder fired. The tach also goes crazy when it dies.
Sorry if this same thing has been posted before. I tried doing a forum search, but couldn't find too much that seemed related.
Also, thanks for any help
EDIT: the only code the car seems to be throwing is for the speed sensor

Also, I'm attaching some pictures. In the picture of the cap, the post on the left seems to be missing some material. In the picture showing the rotor removed, the piece of metal that corresponds to the flat part on the shaft is broken, allowing some play. I also included a pic of the coil showing a screw I had to replace that had broken off several months ago. It's not the same material as the others and I don't know if that would cause any issues.
