So twice now in the past 2 weeks, while I'm driving my accord, I believe on a deacceleration (or stop and go traffic) my car just turns off. Out of no where, I don't even notice it until I go to hit the gas. I put it in neutral and starts right back up. No noises no overheating, no codes just turns off.

2000 Accord EX coupe V6 Just rolled 100k miles a few days ago.

Any ideas at all? It happened to my wife this morning... plain weird.

 

Might be a dumb question, but have you tried checking the battery connections? I had an old car that just shut off completly when I was on the freeway once... just turned out to be a loose battery connection.

 

I had a 1998 Accord and it had similar symptoms and it was the ignition switch. I don't know if that's your Accord's problem, but maybe consider it.

 

Yeah I as just reading that there is a ignition recall on the accords?
