RE: carbon fiber hood question???
the carbon fiber resin sounds like it's fading or getting discolored slightly, depending on the grade of hood you got determins how long it takes before "sun fade" sets in (much the same as older cars have the clear coat coming off) this is due largely to the sun so putting a good wax on there will help prevent this from happening, as far as restoring it back to the origonal black color I'm not sure if there's much more you can do since I'm not that familiar with fixing the issue.... preventing it is your best option, just a good wax should help!

RE: carbon fiber hood question???
well it from vis grade a, and i heard they are pretty good wit thei quality, i think part of the fading is cause by using the wax solution...it only 2yrs old or so...i think that wen i waxed it, i didnt clear it off completely so maybe thats why it cause fading? anything u can think off to remove those old hard stickin wax solution on a surface? lol hope i make some sense

Here's an article that details it a bit more but essentially if you wash the hood with dawn dish detergent it will remove any wax buildup you have and then apply a polish then glaze then wax....
