Default cassette deck keeps ejecting tape

so i finally got my code from honda to turn my deck back on. back from when i had my 05 impala with a tape deck i had a digital tape with headphone jack to plug into my ipod.

when i stick the tape into the deck, it sucks it in and then ejects it. no sound it just ejects it..

whats my problem here?

It is probably a bad radio.

I was not satisfied with that answer... I took it apart. Turns out the gears had came off track and was not reading the tape.

Sounds like a dam concert in my car now with Infinity kappa 6x9's in the rear and infinity Reference components up front.

Wow I'm in love....

Would sound better if you took out that under powered factory deck and put in an aftermarket deck. More power, plus better to run the ipod direct to the deck instead of through the tape adapter.

Tru tru.. But this works just fine right now. Just glad I have my music back.

I would rather spend a few hundred on my tranny swap
