Cassette Deck Removal

Default Cassette Deck Removal

My2000 Accord EX came with the standard AM/FM/CD and the optional cassette deck. The cassette deck's location is below the radio, and above the center console. Any idea on how to remove it? The two screws underneath the cassette deck only hold on the plastic cover. I've been unable to determine how to get the deck to slide out. Thanks.

Generally speaking you just slide a "key" in on either side and it releases the latch so you can slide it out, a dealer or audio store should have these on hand and it takes all of about 30 seconds (typically)....

does it have like a half pocket too? you may need to pull the center console...
