Double check to make sure that the CD you burn is under audio format not MP3... Other than that I have no idea

have you tried more than just 1 cd that you have made ?? It does not make any sense that it plays other cds but not the ones you burn,,

I hate to beat up on the old drum but i still feel it is something to do with the way you are burning them,,

Other than that i am not sure why it would not play your cds,,

The stock CD player that I bought last year for my '94 Accord won't play CD-Rs either. Obviously, it was designed before CD-Rs existed. My guess is that since CD-Rs weren't so popular in 2000, your player isn't compatible. However, oddly enough, CD-Rs made by Hewlett-Packard seem to work in my player. I would try an HP CD-R.

98 accord played cdr's it was the combo cassette cd deck, worked fine for me, could be a possible defect, or just your version of the deck. I had a friend who couldnt play cdr's cause for the reason the laser was strong enough to force the cd label/foil to flake off

The manufacturer of the media plays into this also. Some do not have enough reflectivity in the material for the laser reader. Try a different company. Some of the green medias can be an issue.

It is probably due to the older technology in the CD player. The laser in that CD player is probably not sensitive enough to read the burned CD, newer players have a more sensitive laser that is able to recoginize the encoding on a burned CD.
