Default Changing rear brakes on an '07 Accord

Hi there. I have a 2007 Accord that we're trying to change the back brake pads on. It took us forever to realize that the caliper could only be put back into the cylinder by TWISTING it, but now we have a new problem. The piston has come OFF of the thread, and is refusing to screw back on.

We've been trying to get it back on for about 45 minutes now, but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestons?

Thanks.

copper grease,

surely no need for the calliper to be taken off, only one bolt needed to take off,

also a piston wind back tool and taking off the oil cap helps

Hi, all. I'm trying to replace the rear brake pads on my 07 EX. I unbolted the bottom caliper bolt so I can swing the caliper up to slide out the pads. But there are some "mechanisms" on the backside holding on the the caliper (spring, emergency cable, etc) preventing it from fully swinging out. Do these things need to be disassembled first?
