Default Check Engine Light on '96 Accord

I know this has probably been covered before and I have performed a search on the CEL P0135 and have found topics on the Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1. I have the same CEL code, but a different cause. The error I get is P0135 Sensor 1 heater system malfunction Probable Cause -

1. Open or Short circuit condition
2. Poor Electrical Connection
3. Faulty A/F Sensor 1

Does anyone know what this means? Where is the part located that is needed to be replaced?
Does anyone have any pictures on where it is? Is there a DIY available? I appreciate all the help.

Unplug the O2 sensor on the exhaust manifold. Test the resistance on the two pins of the sensor that have the same wire color. The range should be from 10-40 ohms.

If the circuit is open replace the sensor.

For an open resistance reading, the display will show the same reading as when the leads on the volt meter are not touching anything (infinite resistance).

Some volt meters will also have an open/short function.
