Check engine light turn on/off for couple of days
Hi,
i have a Honda accord 2003 EX and check engine light is getting turn o/off for couple of days. When the light was ON then i went to auto zone and they gave me a code "P0141" saying Bank 1 sensor2 is not working. Again after 5 days i observe that check engine light got turned off automatically by it self. Again it turned on for couple of days and got turned off for few days. 2 days before it was on for 5-6 days and again now it is off.
does any one has the same issue before??

That code is for the heater circuit of second O2 sensor that monitors the catalytic converter. It will not cause the engine to run poorly. It is just an emissions requirement.
The problem can be from the sensor itself, where that heater circuit is an open circuit. Since the light is not on all of the time, I would check the electrical connector to make sure that it is clear of debris and making good contact. Maybe clean the pins with some electrical contact cleaner and use some dielectric grease in there. I THINK that the connector is under the driver's seat.

When you find the plug to disconnect that sensor, look for the 2 same-color (black?) wires going to the sensor. Set your multi-meter for resistance (ohms) & measure across them. Should be 5.0 - 6.4 ohms.

The sensor is located in the catalytic converter, roughly below the gearshift lever. But when you follow the wire it goes through the floorpan & the first opportunity to unplug the wire is under the carpeting under the front passenger seat. You'll see once you locate the sensor.
