My check engine light is on. Here are the codes Auto Zone gave me. They said that I might have a cracked manifold of some type. What do you think? I don't think I have any power issues. I also have checked the gas cap, and I don't think it's that either.

P0420: Definition- Catalyst system efficiency elow threshold bank 1
Probable Cause-
A/F ration Concern
Air Leak near H02s (heated oxygen sensor) bank 1
Ignition system concern
Faulty catalytic converter

P1457: Definition- EVAP emission control system leak detected (control canister system)
Probable Cause-
Loose fuel cap
Vapor canister saturated
Failed vent solenoid
Failed purge solenoid

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

have you tried searching on this website for those codes to see how other people have solved those problems.

 

Search "P1457" especially in the DIY section. I wrote up something a couple years ago.

Exhaust leaks near the catalyst? O2 sensors actually measure oxygen DIFFERENCE inside vs. outside. So anything blowing onto the outside of the sensor will throw off the measurement.

It's good to post the errror code numbers like you did. Sometimes the descriptions are kinda generic, but the numbers are good.
