ive got a 2000 accord SE. Here's my problem. 1st gear engages and runs nice. 2nd Gear every so often between 2.5-3k rpms will drop down suddenly to 2k rpm. I lose a bit of power but the vehicle recovers. 3rd - 5th gear are fine. any ideas as to whats wrong?

 

Sounds more like a motor issue than a trans issue?

 

Im not throwing any codes though.

 

Not all issues will throw a code - these are the "fun" things to figure out.

If the clutch was slipping -the rpm's would go up.

Are the tune up items up to date?
