Default Code Scanner OBD-II

After a lot of research on the Web I decided to buy the AutoXray Ez Scan 4000. I played with it for 3 hour on my 98 Accord and 01 Odyssey. It works great!!! I had a code on the 98 Accord and it turned out to be the secondary O2 sensor. The code was P0420 which is for “catalyst system efficiency below threshold” but I guessed the code was really caused by the secondary O2 behind the cat. converter rather than the cat. converter. I cleared the code, replaced the O2 sensor and it was “good to go”. So, after many years of working on cars I kicked myself in the **POOPY** for not buying this code scanner earlier. It reads LIVE data as you have the car running or driving it. It gives you all kinds of great info. about what your car is doing. I created an Excel file on my computer to record the LIVE data and I will periodically do scans and compare the data to see if there are any changes. One of the big surprises to me was to see that the Intake Air Temp was running around 140 degrees – I thought it would be a lot cooler. This is something I want to research. Bottom-line - the scanner is well build and easy to use and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a OBD II scanner.
