Default compressor not working

compliment of the season to you all in HAF. My compressor has gone bad for sometime now so the AC is not cooling. My question is instead of replacing the compressor completely I was told it can serviced and repaired maybe last for a year or more. How is it possible to be repaired? Presently i don't have much money for a new compressor now hope to get one later. Honda Accord 1998, 4cylinders, 2.3L, auto transmission, Vtec engine. That is the only problem the car has. The accord drives great. Hope to hear from the forum soon. Thanks

Who told you it was bad? The compressor won't run if the refrigerant is empty or low.

You can do a quick test of the clutch coil by removing the clutch relay in the underhood fuse box and jumpering terminals 1 and 2 together, engine OFF. If there is a click, the clutch coil and the wiring to the clutch are good.

here is the relay diagram:

Who did the diagnostic work? Can you find out exactly was diagnosed as bad on the compressor?

Are you planning on doing the work yourself?
