Post Correct Oil For 1996 Accord 2.2 4 Cylinder

I had my oil changed last week, and asked for high mileage oil.

The shop used 5W30. In the past, I never specified oil weight. I believe 10W30 was always used, both regular and high mileage.

Question: What is the recommended oil for this engine?

Question: Did I make a mistake using 5W30 if I always used 10W30?

Please don't yell at me, just scream loudly.

Even if 10W-30 was specified for your engine (which I doubt), a modern 5W-30 (or even 0W-30) will dramatically outperform virtually all 10W-30 oils currently on the market. Were I in your shoes I'd only allow 0W-30 or 5W-30 in my engine.
