Default Correct operation of cooling fans

Hiya

Have been scrutising my 99 Accord Coupe, and just wanted someone to clarify that they are working correctly with the AC.

AC is ice cold, but I noticed the fans cycle on and off about every 40 seconds or so. Is this correct? My previous car used to come on constantly on low speed, only disengaging when you turn the AC off.

Resistor issue? Or perfectly healthy.

Thanks

it is normal for fans to cycle on and off,,,,,,,,time that a/c cycles varies on ambient temp + humidity,,.. with a/c on, when fans cycle off, a/c compressor should cycle off as well

So if the temp is a mild 70F, and you stick the air con on, chances are the fans will cycle regularly.

If its 90F, then they will stay on for more prolonged periods?

With higher temperature & humidity, they'll still cycle. But the %-on vs %-off will increase. More time on, & less time off.
