Hi,
I have a 2002 Accord, which is experiencing some corrosion around the rear window trim in two places.

I have had a couple of quotes on having this fixed at a body shop...approx $1500 Cdn in Ottawa Ontario. Does this sound expensive unusually expensive?

Is the rear window moulding (trim) something I can remove (treat the corrosion), and replace myself?

My alternative is to keep the area treated with Krown rust proofing spray.
So long as it doesn't rust through in the next 4 years, I'd be happy
