Question Crankshaft Position Sensor

Just bought a '97 Accord V6 Automatic (205,000 miles) with check engine light on. Got codes checked and there were quite a few. Cleared them and after running a little just getting a P0335 Crankshaft sensor code. New plugs, wires, PCV & fuel filter. A little long on starting but runs pretty decent if not getting on it too hard. Stuttering when stomping it. Will continued running harm it until I get time and better weather to replace it ?????????? (Shade Tree - NO GARAGE - Northeast)

That sensor is under the timing belt cover. You may want to take a look for an electrical connection coming out from behind the timing belt cover. See if the wiring is pinched and/or the electrical connector is unplugged?

The timing will be a little bit off, so your engine won't be as efficient. If you are going to do this repair, you should plan on changing the timing belt too. Do you know when the timing belt was lastnchanged?

Wires are plugged in but, where they come from behind timing belt cover there's a pretty poor tape job on them. Gonna check it out further when it's daylight tomorrow. Hope its a bad wire splice job!!!!! Don't know about timing belt but as soon as spring arrives it'll get replaced.
