Check your brake lights - are they on all the time? If the brake switch is not right, it just immediately cancels the cruise.

Even if the brake lights are off, the switch can still be bad or out of adjustment.

Do you have a voltmeter and a bit of time?

You can test it....also know there are other things that can be the issue (clock spring, fuse, ect), just the brake switch is the most common.

Default problem only with the switch

I need help. I have a 2004 honda accord DX with cruise control. The switch brook as all things do, but I took it to the dealer and of course my car doesnt come with cruise so they say it must be after market. Well the column cover does not appear to be aftermarket and has honda stamped on it. The switch is pressed into it and I cant find any numbers on the switch. How do I figure out a switch. I just need working cruse again.

Switch is on a metal stem and looks like all standard cruise control switches but just by itself
