Default Curb Hit

Alright, so tonight I was driving along the road and one way or another I ran into the curb. I hit the front right tire but it was more or less parallel with the curb. I checked for damage but the only thing seems to be a scuff on the hub cap. The tire doesn't even really have damage except for a tiny little burn line. The hub cap was slightly bent and so I just pulled on it a little and it went back to normal. Did I get lucky? Or is there something lurking under sight? The car seems to drive exactly the same.

As long as it still drives in a straight line and there is no vibration, you'll be fine. Sometimes the tire will develop issues down the road, so keep an eye on it.

The first thing I would do is put the front of your car on jack stands. Turn the steering wheel until it locks. Grab the tire at the 12&6 o'clock position and push/pull on the tire. Do the same at 3&9 o'clock. You should have very little play.

The slight movement is only from play in the steering wheel lock. You can also have an assistant hold the steering wheel, then you should have zero movement in the tire.

It is probably a good idea to at least get the alignment checked.
