CV joint or whole axle?
So my 89 accord has been clicking when i turn since winter(ruts) and Canadian tire said split axle but nothing specific and from what I've read the cv joint is the culprit here what do I buy to fix this problem so I don't lose control on the highway. And is it even a DIY job or am I dreaming
Look around and see what you can find price wise.
One of the hardest parts of doing this yourself is going to be getting the axle nut off. You can look/search around for different methods of getting it off....there are also some video's showing how to.

That is the part you are looking for. There are several names for the same part, such as CV joint, half-shaft, or axle.
You can buy rebuilt ones for very cheap, like on that site you posted. The rebuilt axle may not perform well or fail early. One moderator on here and tried raxles.com, because his aftermarket rebuilt CV joint was giving him vibration problems. The new raxles CV joint cured the vibration. The parts will likely be more expensive than the site you posted.

Alright, thanks! so should I be looking for a whole axle or can I just replace passanger side then driver side at a later date?
*Also if any mods see this can I have permission to post pictures? or is that after so many posts??

You'll be looking for one axle, which means one side of the car. You don't HAVE to replace both sides, but remember they are the same age, same mileage, etc...
There's actually not a lot of common work, but doing both at the same time saves:
- clearing out a space in the garage to do the work only one time
- jacking up the front of the car only one time
- draining the transmission fluid only one time

You should have the "rights" to post pic's - just have to be of the correct size (kb)? Any issues or questions you can PM me or one of the others.
