As has been suggested, start unplugging the coils, one by one, and then listen for the one which doesn't make the engine run even worse; that's your bad coil.
I did this, and two of them did not affect the idle when unplugged, so I'm going to assume that those two are bad. They all have power, ground, and signal from the PCM, so I'm going to use an HEI spark tester and test all of the coils.

Take the 2 that are questioned and swap them with 2 that worked and see if the problem follows the coil and doesn't stay with the cylinder.

Okay, got an HEI spark tester and tested all of the coils. As suspected, the two that were presumed bad did not spark. Got two new ones on order and I will post the results in about a week when they get here.

That should fix you right up. My daughters 2000 Accord did the exact same thing last year. I did the unplug test and it turned out #1 coil pack was bad,,went to Oreillys and it was about 45 bucks or so. It took about 30 minutes to change out,,,that included driving to the parts store. Only took about 5 minutes of work to change out the coil pack.

Good luck,,,and be sure to update your post about your results.

Changed out the bad coils with new ones and cleared the codes. Engine runs MUCH better. It doesn't shake and sputter like crazy anymore. My friend said that when he went to drive it he put the gas down as he was accustomed to (he had to give it a bit of gas because it would hesitate and it didn't have a lot of get-up-and-go), and he basically said the car just shot off like a jackrabbit! And the exhaust doesn't smell so much like unburnt gas anymore. He hasn't called or texted saying that the MIL has come back on, so it must be good so far. Thanks for the help, guys!
