Default D4 Lite on my 92 Accord

I recently noticed that my D4 light goes out when I put the car in Drive.
If the car is in Parking, it works fine.

Any ideas?

is the car still shifting ok? you probably just have a light burned out if that be the case.

Contacts in the shift position switch under the console maybe?

if that be the case and the car is shifting fine then the only hinderance you would have is if your check engine light came on and you needed to pull a code. bacause you read the flashes from the D4 light.

I just replaced the bulb in mine last month, it was not easy for me, as I couldn't remember what went where on the gear shift. The dealr gets $45.00 for the bulb on the gear shirt, if its in the fdash they told me its about $125.00 asyou have to pull the dash apart.
