Default Damaged Headlamp replacement question

Hey all, I'd really appreciate pointers to my situation here: I went and hit a truck parked in front of me when pulling out of a parking spot. Nothing happened to the truck, but my car has suffered some damage. I went to the body shop and they said the brackets need to be re-fit, and the right headlamp replaced. Thing is, the headlamp works, it's some internal plastic that's broken (the sheet between two lights?).

My question is - does it need to be replaced in its entirety? Is it not possible to replace/repair parts inside the headlamps individually? They quote $400 for the headlamp. Are there any cheaper alternatives?

EDIT: I just found that carid quotes $170 for the exact same thing: https://www.carid.com/tyc/passenger-...9357-00-9.html
EDIT: Today I learnt about aftermarket parts and that the above is an after market part. Maybe I could buy this and take it to the shop and have it installed. What would it do to the car's replacement value?

Am I missing something here or is the auto shop taking me for a ride?

Thanks.

Without some pictures, I'm not sure what is broken on the headlights.

The headlights are sealed, so you can't replace parts inside the headlight. It looks like the plastic arms/brackets that hold the headlight to the car can be replaced.

A new headlight from honda runs about $300, so the price they quoted you may be fair. My TSX had aftermarket headlights installed sometime before I bought it. They don't seem to hold up like the Honda lights, so I'd recommend OEM honda lights for the extra money.

Amazon seems to suggest new parts for the exact same item number they quoted for 273, and used parts are available from 181. I wouldn't mind using used OEM parts if it's not damaged or anything, if it gets me a cheaper price.

I bought the car when I had a steadier income haha, hence my price haggling.

It's only two years old for $400 try to fix it correctly. Maybe you can save the money up somehow and get it done.
