'94 accord lx.
when my head lights are off, u can see the instrument indicators lit (such as when u shift from park to drive). however, if u turn the lights on, the panel goes dark. at night it's not lit at all, so I carry a flash light just in case. However, that being said it is intermittent. Sometimes it will come on for afew secs and then go back out. But the panel will go dark when u turn the lights on everytime. By that I mean the indicator lights go off and no back lighting.
all other interior lights work except for dash and ac/heater controls. fuses are good.
I was thinking that the turn signal/light switch assembly might be bad. any other ideas, would be appreciated.

 

So there are other lights that do not die when you turn on the headlights but they go dim like they are suppose to, what lights stay on dim in the cabin please and I will look at a wire diagram. Honda AC Control panel has its own dimmer control but I think that is for the push button green LEDs. The back lights are controlled by the regular dash dim interior lighting system.
